ITT post albums that feel or sound like depression
maybe it's just me though

I remember listening to the whole thing on a bus ride once, but the only song I can really remember clearly was the opening track. DEFINITELY embodied depression, or at least loneliness
contemporary movement is more depressing imo

god, this album is all over the place. There's some really great moments, but some of it is just plain boring. Real shame too bc it reaches some amazing heights.

I think the word you're looking for is melancholy. Not depression imho

>Sometimes have my breakfast right
>Off of a mirror
>And sometimes I have it
>Right out of a bottle
>I don't even miss you
>But that's 'cause I'm fucked up
>And sure when it wears off
>Then I will be hurting
pretty sad album anon definitely worth multiple listens

>what are opinions
Come together drags on too long. It's not even really a good song to begin with. I still really like the album.
>>66132922
come together is the worst song on the album I agree
>>66132924
Actually, this
Who here needs the /dust/ pastebin? I can post it if yall need it

The whole vibe is "i dont care and i dont care that i dont care"

pls
Modest Mouse - This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About is a good example I think
>>66133041
Yes please.
Literally any Joni Mitchell album. They all sound like you are burying your mom in the backyard.
I've always felt like this album has embodied what depression feels like for me.

Thats literally the worst album by Portugal. The Man.
Are you Portuguese or something?
Devil say I, I say AIR and Waiter: "You Vultures!" are their best
>>66133346
>Waiter: "You Vultures!"
My fuckin' man. How I wish they would head back towards that direction. I'd even take In the Mountains in the Clouds as a positive turn.
obligatory

Indeed. I found P.TM when they released The Satanic Satanist and found it really good.
But when I started getting deeper in their music, I realized there was more into it than just the typical indie rock band.
To this day, they are still one of my favourite bands
>>66133346
accidentally stumbled upon them on spotify. only listened to this one album because i like the way they sound.
Why would you call it the worst tho? Creep in a t-shirt is a pretty cool song.
>>66133560
I mean, it's good, but their other crap is so fucking good, man. Go listen to Waiter: "You Vultures!" now!
>>66133560
P.TM is rad, I'm a huge fan and I found Evil Friends pretty catchy but it's definitely not their most impressive work.
Definitely listen to Waiter: "You Vultures"
If you're used to their poppy sounds, maybe hit American Ghetto and Satanic Satanist first...

okay, might aswell. Thanks in advance if i like it.
most music dosent realy do anything when im very depressed but sometimes i put on modest mouse like this a long drive.. or interstate 8 and it usually hits the spot. duster, built to spill, karate, leonard cohen, sun kil moon/red house painters, some tom waits and yo la tengo also have similar effect.

what album is this
This album from the very beginning. I'm so glad none of songs on here became Shrek-core.
