Fiona Apple

Ke$ha is a pretty competent guitarist but the record label won't let her do it on her albums.
Rachel Barton Pine is legitimately one of the best violinists in the world right now

There are tens of thousands of female violinists, pianists and other instrumentalists within orchestras or other such groups who are better musicians than any male in popular music.

I think girls are fine at instruments, but as a guitarist I understand that 'shredding' or whatever is basically a masculine thing so it doesn't surprise me that there aren't many girls who do it. There are girls who are really good but I'd say 95 percent of people who pick up a guitar and wanna "rock" are guys with penises
>>66073940
the chick on guitar from blood red shoes
>>66074980
Is this the oil spill chick?
>>66075050
It's astounding how little I enjoy classical guitar. I can see that what the musician is doing isvery technically impressive but I just can't care. Closest I've gotten to loving classical guitar would be Spanish Caravan by The Doors

doesn't count, they're all supposed to be skillful at their instrument regardless of their gender, which is not true for non-orchestral music
>>66076231
Is this chick basically female buckethead? I know nothing about her
>>66076318
no buckethead is actually a good guitarist with several great albums (and many shit ones), annie is just a talentless hack
>>66076231
what the fuck happened to annie? david byrne really did a number on her
>>66076333
I just mean stylistically
Someone give me a quick history if they're knowledgeable on the topic, save me from working it out via wikipedia

You should read OP's question again and realize how your argument isn't an argument at all.
