I'm not talking about skill or artistic relevance, not even originality, I'm talking about the band that got out the most consistent number of serious bangers

I've used to think rolling stones were that band for me, now I can abrely listen to them, don't really know why, maybe I've grown over their music

Pretty much this. They may not be the heaviest, but in terms of repeatedly putting out songs that knocked you for six, they were the best

They were mediocre compared most of their ilk, who all had longer and better runs of rocking harder. Priest, Maiden, Van Halen, ACDC, etc.

Priest and acdc are boring as fuck
Maiden is campy and lame

Not good. Stained Class and Unleashed in the East are far superior.

>>66039701
this, they have been prolific and rocked out hard. they didn't sell out until the mid 00s so they had well over 2 decades of rocking out
>>
>>66039340
I would argue that Led Zeppelin was too "hard folk" at times, whereas The Who consecutively rocked save for one blip (and even that blip --By Numbers-- occurred toward the end of their initial career and still kind of rocked).
