Morrissey, but Marr's solo albums are probably better than the most recent Morrissey albums, and Johnny's stuff in other bands is at least on par with most of Morrissey's solo work.
I saw Morrissey once and felt like I was at an old folks home watching one of their grandson's doing a vocal recital.
His solo stuff just feels like it lacks energy and the whole "politics and animals" shit bores me.
Seen Johnny twice and both times were incredible (intimate venue and festival), Messenger was great, Playland seemed like it was lacking ideas.
in the recent post-Smiths era, morrissey (and that's where the quality of both their solo stuff peaks) since about 1996 Johnny's mugged him off though.
