>multiple guitar tracks
>they're all panned 50/50
>>
>>66016898
this pleasant sounding actually, if like doubled over guitar tracked panned 50/50 but not 100/100
>>
>>66016988
Why not have the different guitar tracks panned to separate channels?

>instrument is isolated to one channel

y u do dis beatles?
>>
>>66017103
Many people do it. It works if you balance the multiple instruments appropriately.

Drums should really be centred though.

sounds bad, makes my head hurt. sounds bad in both speakers and headphones
>>
>>66017103
>beatles 100% panning
that was a different time stereo was novel, dual mono would fly, but now we got it down to an art of spatial placement
>>
>>66016867
this almost ruins the first Van Halen album tbhfam

>bass is extreme panned
>especially really clearly-recorded bass where you can hear every pick, hand, and fret noise

It's like someone licking my ear, I hate it

Also re: the Beatles, wasn't it also a physical limitation, like the three options were Left-Center-Right, so it could only be extreme, or do I not know what the fuck I'm talking about
>>
>>66017235
this is good, I still believe it would be enhanced if the two guitar tracks came a little closer to center. just my personal preference I guess but this song for example is strong enough it doesn't get in the way but if I had mixed it it would be mostly the same except guitars closer to center

That whole album is produced in a similar style btw. Check it out if you haven't heard it yet and liked the song I posted.
