I try browsing craigslist and whatnot but never have much success. Goodwill is sometimes a win, also a lot of libraries have used book sales with CDs for like $1
I've got roughly around 300, though I would probably sell off at least a quarter of them. Started buying them in high school and back then that was pretty much my only way of procuring new music. Once I started coming to /mu/ and became more savvy with downloading/torrenting that changed pretty quickly. Now I just buy CDs of artists/albums that I really like strictly for collecting purposes.

You really need the 2009 remaster. You can actually hear the fucking bass on it. The 1987 CD master is so terrible, it ruins one of the greatest New Wave albums.
The 2008 Japanese mini-LP is a superior remaster, but it's expensive to import. The 2009 WB remaster is solid enough, but both put the 1987 CD to shame.

I collect CDs like some people collect vinyl. I look for the original pressing CDs released in the same country that the artist is from. It's a pretty arbitrary box to tick, I know. I would collect vinyl but it's much more expensive and difficult for me to play properly. Though sometimes I do pick up some vinyl of my absolute favourite artists if it's an original pressing.

It's one of the first 50 cds to ever be manufactured in the world (it was released in 1982), since it was released so early hardly any copies were made so it is extremely rare, it's also considered by many audiophiles to be the best sounding version of Wish you were here on cd (though you can get a cheaper Japan for US cd with the same mastering for about $200, the gold tint version sells for a ton due to the extreme rarity and age of the disc, as Pink Floyd is highly collectable)

I love CDs. Currently have around ~500 of them, some of them are so rare that it would be nearly impossible to buy another copy, some are cheap. I look for new ones to buy every day. I spend all of my income on CDs and LPs.
