Looking into getting a microkorg. It's my first real synth or keyboard of any type discluding a shitty midi one I had. Any suggestions of what to run it through? Would a guitar amp work, or would I need a separate monitor.

A guitar amp will work fine. You could also just directly feed it into your computer.
Are MicroKorgs easy to learn?

Well, it has the same control as any other synth. But it is fairly easy yes.

is this one good ? How much ?

Yeah, from the 'research' I've done it seems to be one of the best synths/vocorders out there for the price, which is about 350-400

Really bad synth for the money. You'd think with it being digital that it could handle more than 4 voices.

If you're paying more than $200 for a microkorg, you're getting screwed.

What are some better synths for that price?
meme, software sounds better and is more convent.
Please don't get a microkorg my dude. Experiment with soft synths or monophonic analog shit. Microkorg is a stale compromise.
Perhaps get the Minilogue? No vocoder, but the microkorg's vocoder is shit. I know this because Korg shipped me a microkorg on accident with a different order. I got one for free and really didn't even care much to use it.

Roland boutique
Mininova
Blofeld is a bit more expensive but worth it
M-audio venom
Seems like the right place to ask. Considering getting the Mopho x4 as I need a stage synth with plenty of controls, patch memory, and a decent amount of full sized keys.
Good choice? Or should I spend more on a Prophet '08?
