what's the point of hearing a song that you like and then never listening to it again
>>65849799
>pneumonia
the #1 cause of death among the chronically ill
I'm literally sitting where I am because someone died from it which I'm almost positive started from him smoking meth
>>65849866
To fondly remember the experience that you had when you listened to it, and make it that much more special. Also idunno, i feel like it's a waste of time. Why listen it again if I already heard it?

>not listening to your favorite artists an albums multiple times
>not slowly exploring an artist's discography when you start to like them only to love them by the end of it
I feel bad for you

same. Got mine in september of 2014

>>listening to albums more than once
>shigger doodles
>not listening to some albums more than once to get a more balanced/nuanced opinion
You aren't even retaining your impressions of those albums. It's in one ear and out the other. You're also missing out on the chance of relistening to music you thought was 'okay' and finding out you really liked them on 2nd listen.

Because you really like it? Are you on the spectrum?
>>65849908
nice
ive been slacking on listening to music lately since i have been making so much of my own music (and playing vidya) so my count isnt as high

well dont keep us in suspense
>>65849966
I haven't been listening as much as I usually do either because I have a summer job and have spent my nights doing other shit. But when I'm at college I average like two albums a day. Also I wish I spent more time writing music but I have such a hard time getting started.
>>65850002
nobody's given any good suggestions
>>65849946
>You're also missing out on the chance of relistening to music you thought was 'okay' and finding out you really liked them on 2nd listen.
Maybe. I sometimes do that if it's been years and I care enough to get another impression. Mostly i just don't give a shit, I'd rather move on to other stuff than learn to love something I don't really care to love.
>>65849946
>>65849955
Yeah but I heard it. It's just gonna be the same experience. Boring. Plus it's wasting time where i could be listening to new things and finding new things i like. There's too much music to find to listen to things a second time.
>>65850018
damn...
>>65850026
>finding new things i like.
what's the point of liking something if you never listen to it?
>>65849803
>>65849908
>>65849861
Absolutely disgusting.
>>65850049
Knowing that I like it and knowing what it sounds like. There's really no point in listening to it again, I'm not gonna grow from it listening to it a second time. I'm not gonna learn anything new. It's just gonna be a waste of my time. Especially if I have the same opinion about it the second listen. I literally listened to it for no reason. I mean I enjoyed it, sure, but I enjoy a lot of things. I could've done a lot of other things that would've been just as enjoyable and much more productive than doing a repeat.
>>65850125
but how long have you had your last.fm account

Do you listen solely to instrumental? Even if you do, there's no way you can pick up every texture and sound in one listen. Of course you're baiting but still, people are legitmately as stupid as you're pretending to be
>>65850171
I'm just always overly critical of my "sound" and tell myself that it's too close to x person's sound
I did finally have a childhood dream come true though and started a band with some college friends. That puts my stuff on hold a bit too because we actually sound good IMO and I'm pretty content with focusing on just that for now
>>65850221
lol im >>65849905 & >>65849966
you think my tracks arent just OPN ripoffs? doesn't stop me. i make music that i want to hear, and i want to hear OPN ripoffs.

>>65849776
You suffer, but why?
>>65850193
>>65850209
I listen to music for different reasons senpai. I see all the amazing music there is out there and want to listen to it all. If I listen to something on repeat I feel like I'm wasting time. It's probably an issue, but I've been enjoying myself, so whatevs.
>>65850239
I don't even know if I remember my sc account right now but it doesn't matter atm because I haven't recorded anything in ages
I'm attempting to go for a kind of Grouper-style mix between folk and ambient though. I have some stuff that's kind of written but not recorded yet
