What do you mean
Tonight: Nails, Full of Hell, God's Hate, Eternal Sleep. First pic was ES, this is God's Hate.
Not quite, but I did do sound for my old high school's drama club for 4 years and am about to go to school for sound engineering (though I primarily want to work in studios)
OP here, I work at a slew of venues here and am thinking about doing a thread each night when I'm working. Would be nice to advise on mix techniques and things. I do studio shit here and there but do pretty much fulltime nights at clubs/venues/theaters. Does /mu/ look down on tripfags? Might start a trip just for consistency.

Engineer for almost 4 years now, I've worked in a few venues and some casinos/festival gigs.
I've tried bringing up live sound/production on this board a few times, and realized that just like in real life, we're very few and in the shadows.
But I love your idea - I'd follow different shows going on, and I'm sure there would be some awesome discussion and knowledge shares.
I'm curious, how well does being a sound engineer pay in terms of being a career? Can you comfortably support yourself with what you do? Is success based on how good/well known you are in a certain town/area?

Nothing wrong with tripping if you're hosting a thread or answering questions.
People only hate trips when they act like faggots and post attention-whoring derailment in threads.
Full of Hell. Jesus fucking christ these kids straight up destroy.
Nails is about to go on so will be back in a bit

Greatly varies, but can be disgruntling. Will go into detail later
