Crafting sentient music
Danny Brown collab
Yeah, I dunno. I hope they completely reconfigure their patches at this stage, though. I'd sort of like hear a noisier version of Oversteps or something - the balance of harshness and melody would be interesting.
Still very happy with elseq for the moment though. Also gotta spend more time with AE_LIVE.
>>65840801
yes please
>>65841160
I'd like that, I've been listening to Oversteps a lot lately even though I wasn't a big fan when it came out. I love Exai and most of elseq but I grow weary of loud, dense, glitchy tracks. elseq 5 is probably my favorite thing they've done this decade because it gave those sounds some space to breathe.
>>65841160
>oversteps plinky plonky melody + lush textured abstract sound design
HNGGG plz
Don't you love it when a track you hate finally clicks?

That'll never happen with flep though.
The ultimate minimalist rough electronics pieces.
>no such things as an echo or reverb
>everything sounds raw or rough
>frequency so low and loud your subwoofer causes earthquakes
>the drums are made from scratch and they're made out of NOISE
Hopefully making another listenable album.

Did you listen to fol4?
>>65843534
Listen to the last 30 seconds twice then go back to the start with that in mind. Should click then.

this track is soooo fucking underrated
Does anyone have the mega link with all their Japanese bonus tracks?
Didn't they want to do a collab with Young Thug?

gay scat porn
>>65844470
they're open to the idea, yes

Damn, that sounds super ace. Don't get me wrong - I've loved the Ae Reverbfest of 2008-2016 because I think they utilize it in really interesting ways, but I don't want it to become a crutch for them.
>>65845421
I would have loved to have seen them in '94
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USsvC9bx9fE
>elseq 2
what were they thinking, lads?
>>65844106
would be down with that. Imagine some lush rob beats with, say, Erykah badu over them
>>65849849
rob does the beats, sean does the singing
>>65848500
Aw, I don't get why that one's considered so weak. elyc6 0nset alone is enough to make it a classic imo.
ae x thugger x roc marciano
>>65851862
ugh, i just want them to act on this shit for once. they've been talking about and flirting with the idea of doing a hip-hop lp with an mc since around confield iirc. c'mon lads.
>tfw elseq has already been forgotten about
Livesets from 2010/2008. Sean, Rob, pls.
>>65851969
theyd probably need a more off kilter mc imo, especially with their latest music. there's no way thugger can rap to ae beats

sounds great!

We can all dream, Anon.
>>65843663
they've always done that silly
live shows for now
probably releases similar to elseq, or an actual album instead. Hopefully within a year some new stuff but elseq is a lot

>yfw ae electroswing
>>65843534
man, prac-f was the first track i loved on exai on my first listen
i think of flep as part 3 of t ess xi and vekos. all three have very different sounding percussion samples but they've also all got these wonky, textured grooves that feel vaguely similar and each feels a shade darker than the last
>>65853394
I think they'd streamline it a bit - make it more bare bones like they talked about in their RA interview. Something closer to TMB2.
>>65853332
I don't think they recorded any Quaristice sets mate :(
are they worth seeing live? they are coming to my city in autumn

Listen to AE_LIVE if you haven't already. I "saw" (they play in complete darkness) them live last year and it was ace.
>>65851823
Exactly, that is the best song they ever made
>>65866721
eh, i wouldn't go that far but it's p good.
>>65840722
More albums with glitch farty noises.
Why did they make a track that's literally farts?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qz_j-GHkgc
>>65869463
the more important question to ask is how they managed to make a track from farts and have it sound good?
they've perfected fartcore
>>65869463
sounds more brassy to me, like a synthetic trombone.
>>65844423
theyre all on soulseek

>>65870521
I know u mean the cartoon, but fyi Tom and Jerry is a big DnB outfit from Dego's early years
