>Hear a good song
>Imagine myself performing it in front of a sold out crowd including my high-school bullies and the girls that rejected me
Am I the most pathetic person on /mu/?
>>65777178
>Imagine playing the song in a school talent show and beating the shitty emo bands that the other guys were forming
>>65777178
Doesn't everyone do this?
>>65777178
I did that a lot too, just without the high-school bullies and girls part
Just joining some of my favorite bands in duets and stuff
Got my own band now, so now I think about how it'd be to cover a song by another band live, but then I remember how fucking pathetic cover bands look and forget about it
God I'm a fucking virgin loser but even I have never had this fantasy. Pick up an instrument and get good at it, you'll be able to impress people irl
>>65777178
fuck me i do this all the time
i imagine i'm at a high school assembly performing a song i've written with my band, which is actually a song by modest mouse or something
>Tfw spending hours imagining what school had been like if I wasn't a loser
>>65777178
why is life so hard
why can't i get over my depression
fuck
fuck
i thought i'd have moved on by now
>>65777178
>>65777289
I'm pretty sure everyone does this
>>65777945
>tfw I used to be known as 'the funny one' in my group of friends but I grew up to be a neurotic loner frittering away my life in fantasy worlds
>>65777682
Don't be stupid. You can do a cover as long as you're not gay and it isn't shit. Literally Jimi Hendrix did Wild Thing at Monterey Pop before he went London Calling on his guitar and then lit it on fire , the Beatles recorded Twist and Shout which was better that the original, the Clash covered like three songs and punked them up. Make the song in your own style, get up there and have fun performing it. As long as no one does only covers, it's fine. For fuck's sake.
I do this and I'm not even depressed or socially inept or whatever other weird brain problems you feelposters have.
