Felt like I could have done a lot more to make it an engaging listen, needs more counterpoint.

Well my production style typically enlists 40-60 instruments, thats used through out the entire track, not all at the same time, about 4 different melodies are typically placed in there
Notice 13 bars on in the strings come in which unravel the main melody by leaning from the median interval down a step to the third interval, counter acting with the melodic consonance of the rest of the instrumenation.
I put about 5-7 string daws on that
I think thats what hid the midi style a bit
