Was a teacher for 4 years at a school.
I ended up having to teach 12 of the same kids four years in a row. Got really attached

I'm transferring schools now due to my performance, getting a better pay, higher position, overall immensely better

I can't teach the kids I loved in their final year

I'm incredibly happy and excited for my new job.

I'm on the verge of tears for not seeing my kids on their last year.

Please help me cope.

Daily routine isn't enough, I need help. Please give me songs for this feeling, otherwise I'm just going to breakdown
>>
I wish I had a teacher that cares as much as you do. What genre of music are you looking for? Don't say anything.
>>
i have no fucking idea what that feel is, but if you like daily routine a lot try something in the dream pop genre like cocteau twins or beach house

also what do you teach?

I taught them algebra up to pre calc.
I don't know what genre of music I want, I just want to be able to cope without really getting to say goodbye how I wanted to.

If you show up to their graduation that's more than enough imo. Don't feel bad.

Used to listen to Abbey Road when staying up late in my bed to do pre calc hw. Not extremely relevant to your situation besides the last part but just thought I'd share.

English Teacher master race reporting in
If you teach anything STEM related you have no right to get this attached to your students desu senpai

Have you listened to Melody's Echo Chamber?

De Soto De Son is a great "goodbye" song, besides the "death takes time" part. And you already like AnCo

Yeah, derivatives sure are a tough concept, kek
>>
>>65706537
you're a fucking english teacher man, get off that high horse
>>
>>65706554
He's probably a shit teacher, that's why he's shitting on others.
>>
>>65706537
When it takes a kid 3 months to understand what X means in general, then for him to breeze through derivatives 3 years later makes me immensely happy.

>>65706303
Thank you this was beautiful

Kill yourself.

That sucks but you're moving on to greener pastures. Those kids were lucky to have a teacher who cared about them in any case.

Not specific to your situation and probably not something you'd usually listen to but Duke recorded that as a tribute to his best friend and it's sort of pregnant with that sort of feeling of sadness at having left a friend behind without having said all you wanted to. It's more hopeful towards the end which I always interpreted as Duke acknowledging all the happiness that friend brought into his life.
Good luck in the new job anyway. Hope you get to see a group like you had again.

Thanks being such a caring teacher to those kids, there really should be more people like you. I don't quite know what to suggest at the moment so perhaps try some Nick Drake since that can almost never go wrong. Also congrats on the new job!

I always felt bad for being so mediocre at math because my teachers were always based af

My calc teacher cried at our graduation and it was really heartwarming

Kinda strange to know that there are highschool teachers on 4chan though desu
