Kollegah is garbage. If you want to discover some artists, theres a rap competition called the JMC (JuliensMusicCypher) on YouTube right now with some great German rappers competing. It's fanbase mostly consists of retardet kids, consider yourself lucky if you can't read the comments.
My recommendations are: Punch Arogunz, Fischmob, Rapido, Neo Unleashed or Spongebozz.

Why is Kollegah garbage, I thought he was universally liked over there? I can't really get into his old stuff where he sounds like a 14yo pimplefaced kid but the last two albums have some really mellow darker sounding beats that I dig. Take into account that I don't speak the language so I am biased since i can't cringe to shit lyrics.

He's my favourite rapper. I showed up to his concert a few months ago way too early since he was at the merch booth signing stuff for the few people that already got there so I got to meet & talk to the guy (as seen in the pic on my previous post). Terrific guy, awesome and humerous concert.
imo the French language is probably the second best language to rap in. Too bad flemish rappers still cling to boombamp whilst the Dutch already made the transition to more Atlanta sounding beats.
