It sounds so cliche, but Round and Round is such a perfect song. I've listened to it hundreds and hundreds of times and I still get that "umph" feeling in my chest when the chorus kicks in.
Not Enough Violence is also a killer track. Another those songs that has a lot of build up to a satisfying payoff. Ariel Pink my favorite songwriter currently and one of my favorites of all time.

can you please explain to me the appeal of the doldrums? i'm not having a go at you just generally curious. To me it's frustrating to listen to purely because i think it could have benefitted with slightly better production, but at the same time that could be it's main charm and appeal.
