How can you skim through the tracks and know if you like the album or not? not possible with swans
I don't get people who think this, TBK and The Seer sound the same. I mean everyone who has listened to the albums can tell there are pretty big differences. The Seer has very tribal-like atmosphere and sound palette, and is very free and "organic" composition wise (Mother of the World, Piece of the Sky, 93 Ave Blues). TBK is much more straightforward but also much more agressive and punchy (Oxygen is typical example). And finally this is more playful, bright and focused on vocals (both Giras and the ever present female choir in the background). All of the records have unique style, except for My Father, which is basically transition album from Angels of Light into The Seer and contains elements of both.

i really missed the hypnotic bass lines on the first half of the album,
it really felt like something was missing.
the glowing man (song) had some great moments,
but they recycled a lot of material into the song witch was lame.
I still can't decide where would i place it on a scale, ill need to listen to it more.
One thing tho, i can see why gira doesn't want to play with this lineup anymore,
he's trying to go twords a more ambient, huge sound, more drone, more of everything,

1. If the Swans Gira didn't want it leaked then don't send a promo copy to half-bit losers to seem more "true to the scene", send it to someone verifiable with hold and who if exposed as illegally sharing music could get toppled easily

Each copy that is sent to to music sites has the reviewer's/companies ID on their copy, which I'm assuming is some kind of audio watermark that can be viewed through a spectrograph. I can safely say that that is never going to happen, no large company would ever make a move that controversial, unfavourable and unjustifiable. They actually have long-term plans to remove the iTunes Store altogether and make it more like Spotify where it's a combination of local files and streaming.
