Yes and yes. The Glowing Man is my second-favorite track on the whole thing. If you've heard the Gate version, the second half doesn't have much difference (except a couple lyric changes and the addition of female backing vocals), but they've totally reworked the opening of Bring the Sun. It sounds so good. Finally, Peace isn't quite as great, but it's really emotional. One of the only purely hopeful tracks they've ever made, musically and lyrically.

Well if you've been following Swans after TBK it was kinda obvious they weren't going to make an album that is more abrasive and by the throat as TBK. I actually dig how playful and bright it sounds at times. The softer instrumentation makes the album feels more fluid and orchestral, while TBK was quite rough around the edges, this is more finely and tenderly sculpted.
That said, when the groove starts on Cloud of Unknowing, it rocks my socks of harder than even She Loves Us! Also the title track is supposed to be a banger, so if you wish for something more TBKy, its probably that one.
