I've lived in Africa, Asia, and Europe, and of the three, Africa easily has the best day to day music. Sure, Europe has a great underground rock scene. But the day to day is shitty overproduced EDM. Asia has incredible classical traditions, but the everyday music is the most awful, melodramatic, whiny soft pop you could ever imagine. The day to day African music is amazing, wild drums, contemplative plucked strings... if you don't think Africa has great music, then you clearly don't know shit about Africa.
