But the thing is that Black Metal can't be understood by the plebian masses, only 5% of people can fully grasp it in my opinion. Also, there are a lot of posers within the BM scene, and some of them even make poser bands without grasping the meaning of BM.
Most of them are on the "hail satin we are evil" type. The second type is the other extreme, Christian BM. As a Christian myself I can't feel the appeal of this subgenre. The third poser genre is nazi shill bm - same edgelords who barely fathom what politics are; followed by their red-anarchist black metal counterpart.
BM is for atmosphere and rebirth of the medieval folk and not for beliefs or political views.

Metal is by and large a genre for manchildren (this is coming from someone who is just now, at the age of 24, coming out of a years-long metalhead phase). Power metal, however, is probably the most pleb, nerdy shit metal that there is.
