8.5, All My Friends is one of my all time favorite songs

8/10: The opening track is amazing.

10/10: I love this album so much.

It's decent, but I prefer the self-titled. 6.5/10
>>65378080
I think it's one of the most overrated albums of all time. Boring AF/10 (and I listen to Drone music).
>>65379213
Pure, unbridled cacophony. I think most people simply like the IDEA of liking this. 3/10. Grow up.
>>65379241
As far as Metal goes, it doesn't get much better. 10/10 for what it is.
I have different favorites based on different criteria, but I've listened to this album more than any other.

some good songs but too poppy

I agree with the other guy, can is overrated. I also prefer ege bamyasi and future days, they have better atmosphere while tago mago seems to be trying to focus on the instrumentation and composition that just isn't there.

I loove both Richter and Bach, and I have no complaints. But Richter's better at romanticism by a lot and other people are better at Bach. but really no complaints with this album
>>65379524
another great choice, no complaints other than that I've gotten sick of it. listen to mark hollis' s/t/ definitely if you haven't

>tell me why it's "bad"
I can't tell you why it's bad, but I'm comortable with subjective assessment that it sounds like a superficial attempt at making provocative Noise for the sake of being provocative and "extreme".
And it's interesting that any time someone posts a Noise album, and someone shit's on it, the poster accuses the critic of ignorance ("you probably haven't heard it", or "you just need to open your mind, maaaan"). I suppose it's befitting of someone who listens to esoteric bullshit so that they can stand out.
I enjoy a fair amount of sound-art, but as far as I'm concerned, Harsh Noise is mostly juvenile.

This is one of those albums that has absolutely no discernable effect on me whatsoever. SILENCE literally makes me feel exactly the same as The Stone Roses.
I'm not even saying that I think it's "bad", because I wouldn't even know how to explain WHY.

I used to think it was just lad rock before i'd heard it. I liked "I wanna be adored" and the rest of the album grew on me from there.
I think it has a lot of well executed cool ideas; waterfall and the mirror image Don't Stop. (By the way, you can imagine how terribly a backwards track COULD have gone but excellent production and fun ideas like reinterpreting Ian's backwards vocals into new lyrics make this a pretty brilliant jam)
The layered vocas of This is the one is really cool. The drums which mimic 80s house beats are cool. The harmonies are excellent.I Am The Ressurection is thrilling and the encore is great

>what kind of music do you like?
>>65379371 is me
My tastes are fairly wide-ranging, but I mostly listen to classical-related music. And as far as contemporary stuff, I get a lot of my suggestions from boomkat.com -- I really like the Editions Mego label and Pan records.
