I really don't understand why metal fans are so completely resistant to any kind of meaningful evolution or change, specifically black metal fans. You can see it in some of the reactions to bands like Deafheaven and Liturgy, despite putting a different angle on black metal and creating something fresh, new and exciting people will shit on it because of its pretensions, this isn't really conducive to forward thinking art in my opinion. Anybody who tries to push a genre forward or to break down barriers within a scene are going to inherently come off as "pretentious" anyway, and ambition is a good thing.

Their rhythm is next level shit. But their sound is completely preference. Personally, I enjoy The Ark Work. I enjoy it a fuck ton. I enjoy Aesthethica as well. Not as much as The Ark Work. TAW has variety and better production.
