I hate these memes. The Monks and TVU have almost nothing in common. Just because two bands share one trait does not mean they're of the same genre. It's the same shit with all of the 'proto-shoegaze' bands people hype up that end up just having one part in one song where the guitarist played really loud.

Easily in my top 5 any genre. Pretty hard to deny it's innovation, originality, creativity etc etc. Also one of the coolest albums to ever exist. Just fucking cool man.
