I wan't to put music on my phone but I need to convert to mp3. What are some good free methods and things to use?

In command line; ffmpeg -i input.mp3 output.flac
foobar2000 has a converter built in if I remember correctly, if not all it takes it pointing to the ffmpeg binary. Using foobar2000 allows you to convert playlists more easily.
Or was it a lamemp3 binary that was needed, can't remember. Probably lamemp3.
Foobar. It's free. It's also the best media player.
i found musicbee's converting feature to be very good.
