The typography on Turn on the Bright Lights is so clean but the graphic on Unknown Pleasures is wonderful

There are more similarities than that in terms of sound (if we're talking genres, there's the fact that UP is post-punk and TotBL is post-punk revival so there's obviously going to be stylistic similarities). At the same time it doesn't do TotBL justice to simply see it that way. It's a pretty good album and it's not entirely derivative.
Another comparison that gets made a lot and, I think, is more warranted is when people say that LCD Soundsystem are this to Talking Heads.
