He's right though. If overblown crescendos are the pinnacle of music for you, then you simply haven't listened to enough music. It's pure naivety.

Street Horrrsing is the only record of theres that is worth anyone's time

I will admit I really liked Tarot Sport when I was 15, haven't listened to it in ages though, their last album was pretty good though

Nah

It was boring and also terribly mixed/mastered to boot

Great you don't like them. Thanks for sharing

I said I liked them. Street Horrrsing is a good album, it did a lot of interesting things with rhythms and shrieked vocals run through kids toys, and also made noise pretty accessible to a crowd that would otherwise be uninterested in it, all the while remaining really playful and unique. There were a couple of lolepic moments in some tracks that lost my attention, but otherwise it's a great listen.

Sadly they sacrificed all that for a much more streamlined approach with Tarot Sport, and just played it safe with a bunch of WHOA DUDE EPIC crescendos that had little to say beyond an overdrawn 10 minute climax. You won't find really standout and attention-grabbing tracks like Ribs Out on anything else they've done.

Again, if you think overdrawn 10 minute climaxes are the pinnacle of music then you're naive.

Well I don't know if you've heard Dumb Flesh, but imo thats a huge step up from their main albums.

I actually haven't man, I only heard the first Blanck Mass album but honestly can't remember that much about it. I saw he soundtracked an old arty film, which looks really cool, I'll have to check that out too.

In what ways is a step up? I've always wondered who bought what to FB in terms of style, so that would be cool to see. I remember Andrew Hung did that chiptune thing as Rave Cave or something.
