>>65126464
Do I have to chose one, when I could just have them all in one long playlist?

syro
probably the most complex and expertly produced acid techno record of all time
the analord series is the best thing he did overall
>>65127575
i can kind of see this (or at least, up there, its certainly meticulous) but i still feel basically nothing while listening to half the tracks on it
if it were all the quality of tracks 1 + 2 i'd love it but i basically never listen to the whole thing
>>65127630
ae. i think XMAS_EVET10 is my favorite aphex track but where's the magic on the rest of the album? drukqs is the best imo
>>65126464
analord or saw2
>>65126542
His brother was named Richard and when he was a stillborn his mother acted like it never happened and when aphex was born he took his brothers identity. Thus making them 2 twins yet only one man.
>>65126542
he had a stillborn brother, also named richard
saw 85-92 cuz i'm basic af
yea i know it's 'dated' or whatever but idgaf, those songs take me somewhere else. especially xtal, heliosphan and we are the music makers
honestly, i never really got into him outside of that. he's certainly talented tho
>>65126530
>disliked by critics
>reason it's your favourite
cah-ringe
>>65129210
>>65129211
huh, this is actually pretty sad/ sweet
>>65129165
I like Shrymoming Mix and Earth Portal Mix
>>65129210
>>65129211
>>65129280
"They expect only one of us out the gash brother"
>>65129210
Aphex said he felt guilty of taking his brothers identity, thats all
>>65129233
Same here desu
Gonna have to go with Drukqs, too. It embodies the huge, direction-less excess that largely characterises the rest of his discography, while at the same time providing the most cohesive challenge to what we think of as the traditional AFX/acid techno sound via prepared piano pieces and field recordings. And, again, Avril 14 is just the absolute loveliest.
>>65126544
probably my favorite as well, 4 is so gut
Melodies From Mars, because it's genius in its simplicity
>>65127279
isn't that the nature of idm?
