When you're listening to Radiohead, just remember that they're not like other bands. Their music is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to them to even remotely understand them. I remember listening to a song on Kid A (though I can't remember what it was), where I thought a song was absolute bollocks during the listen. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the song had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way Radiohead could just become something so different when you take a look into the music.
Another thing you should note about Radiohead is that it's easy to get a headache listening to them. Not because they're a bad band, but because of how many ideas their music is riddled with and how complex they are. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just sound like noise to you. Just turn it off and give it a listen the next day.
If you don't like the music, you'll definitely at least enjoy reading through the lyrics, and picking apart the song itself and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

Hey guys, so I've been studying this album artwork pretty closely since this album dropped back in 2015, and I think I might've just happened upon something that could be a game-changer.
I'm sure we all noticed the guy in the middle, who appears to be in control of the drones on the screen. There has been some speculation that this could perhaps be a subtle dig at our capitalist society, and the "drones" represent the general populace - that is, you and me.
However, take a closer look and the picture reveals something that would make even the most jaded individual lean back in awe and tip their hats to this inspired band. You see, I believe the head of this 'controller' figure is actually meant to be... another lever. I'll just give you some time to think about that for a second. Imagine, a society not only consisting of drones, but run by drones too. Really examine that head, and you will see - I know, it sounds crazy but hear me out - YES. Another hand.
Not only that, but this larger hand-lever combo appears to be identical in nature to the original hand-lever combo that we all noticed straight away. And it disappears off-screen into an unknown void. The implication being that this cycle of drones is potentially limitless - an endless vortex of drones controlling drones controlling drones controlling drones.
Anyway, those were just some of my thoughts. I'm sure the naysayers will come flocking, but the proof is right there in the picture. Truly, this band is infinitely more multifacted and complex than we could have even begun to imagine.

I think Thom mainly uses his voice as an instrument and sometimes just picks words that sound best. OKC isn't my favorite album but has some genuinely good lyrics, whereas it kinda dissolves as time goes on.

They're all great desu (even The 2nd Law, it's the worst of their discography tho). If I had to pick shit out though:
Showbiz - Sunburn, Muscle Museum, Unintended, Escape, Hate This & I'll Love You.
Origin Of Symmetry - Pretty much everything up to and including Citizen Erased, and then Megalomania.
Absolution - The whole fucking album, it's a masterpiece.
Black Holes & Revelations - Take A Bow, Map Of The Problematique, Soldier's Poem, Assassin (the Grand Omega Bosses edit is better), Knights Of Cydonia
Resistance - Unnatural Selection, MK Ultra, and the entire Exogenesis Symphony. Watch the music video for Exogenesis Part 3 too, it's incredibly depressing.
The 2nd Law - The first three tracks (For some reason I love Madness, I know it's pretty much popshit but still), Animals, and Liquid State.
Drones - This is a concept album so you might want to listen to the whole thing as well. IMO all the tracks stand out, though my favourite part is definitely Reapers, Handler, and [JFK]/Defector.
Other songs - A lot of their b-sides are golden. In particular, though, I'd say Forameus, In Your World, Dead Star, Map Of Your Head, Fury, Eternally Missed, Glorious, and Prague are worth a listen.
