I've only been on /mu/ for the past year or so, but I've been on 4chan since 2008. Back then it was a lot scarier.
the only way /mu/ could be better is if they banned underage kiddos. I feel they're the majority of shitposting because of "muh edge"

I'm kind of sick of pop rap too. /mu/'s downfall definitely coincided with it's embrace of top 40 pop and rap. MBDTF getting a 10 really changed the landscape for the worse.
