This is the worst thing I have heard all year. It is some of the most vapid stupid music I have heard in a while.This has a 90/100 on metacritic. That makes it the highest rated non-reissue album this year. How on earth can you listen to this and find any remnant of talent or artistic merit? I can be pretty open minded when it comes to what other people listen to but if you like this then I have no idea what in the hell this world is coming to. This is audio death, this is audio disease, this is audio pedophilia. I can't stand by this one bit. It would be one thing if this was created in the vast pop machine that spits out pop stars like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Aqua, Vengaboys etc.... This was created by 1 person, not a team of record executives. This person had freedom, signed to 4ad records and this is what was made. The performers I mentioned before are part of a record making machine that demands music like this to sell units. Grimes was an established "artist"(that I was not a big fan of but at least it wasn't this) before but this is just laughable and it makes me sad that avid music listeners and critics are saying this is good. If this is good then I want deluxe reissues of Vengaboys "The Party Album", Aqua's "Aquarium" and a deluxe 180 gram 7 inch color vinyl pressing of Psy's "Gangnam Style" because if "Art Angels" is art then we need to open the playing field to all the kitschy shit that came before it that sounds the same. Thank you Grimes for showing me a new low for music for the modern age. This is a great instance of art losing big time.

Panicking, she locker herself away in her dungeon, working herself delirious until she could work no more, then swallowing ingestible methamphetamines and continuing work. Exhausted she put out a masterpiece and was not prepared for being hurled into popularity, and yet she was.
Now she has a cute boyfriend who shares her interests, signed on with Jay-Z's label, has a nice studio in LA, got clean off of hard drugs, is eating better and taking better care of herself and is doing what she loves. Despite a rabid and really kind of creepy fanbase that fetishizes her and reduces her to an object, constantly having to fight middle managers in RocNation and going over their heads to Jay-Z, and a parasitic media that construes her words to make her seem like a villian or a victim, she continues pushing on, all while doing it on the unmedicated hell that is ADHD.
How can one NOT like her? She's absolutely fucking amazing. If there's one thing I want in this life it's to make something that Claire digs.
