Can we have a Beatles thread?
>>
Another one? Alright, I guess.
>>
Revolver, Sgt. Peppers and MMT are their only good alubms
only retards think otherwise
>>
>>64824445
no
>>
>>64824534
MMT is my favorite of theirs, but I like The White Album and Abbey Road 2nd and 3rd respectively
>>
Are they worth getting into and where do I start
>>
>>64824445
Tonight I finally realized that Abby Road is fucking overrated. It has a few 10/10 songs, actually really just the Harrison songs. "Come Together" is good.

Everything else is actually kind of shitty or just pretty good. Nowhere near their best moments. The much vaunted side 2 is genuinely the most overrated stretch of music ever written. I don't like it.
>>
i have always listened a lot to MMT, why people here regard it as some underrated gem? i always thought it was one of their most popular ones

>listens to each of those albums exactly once and never touches the rest of their output
>>
As far as I'm concerned The Beatles never put out a bad record, but Revolver and MMT are my two all time favorites, although some of the songs on the mono version of Sgt Pepper are terrific.
>>
My only problem with most of the Beatles music is I wish it would go FUCKING LOUDER
>>
Tomorrow never knows is their best song.
>>
>>64824534
absolutely
>>
>>64824931
they were one of the loudest bands for their time. helter skelter was the heaviest song ever written at its time
>>
>>64825226
Let me rephrase; I wish my computer would play their stuff FUCKING LOUDER so I could just absolutely bathe in it
>>
>>64825271
ah yeah, the beatles are best listened to wicked fucking loud
>>

I once maxed out my stereo on Tell Me Why. Good god, it was a religious experience.

Anyone here ever watch the MMT movie? It's fucking hilarious
>>

Listen to the 1 compilation if you want a quick overview. Studio album wise I always recommend Revolver: If you like the folk tracks/prettier songs work your way backwards (Rubber Soul -> Help etc.), if you like the more psychedelic songs go forward (Sgt Pepper->Magical Mystery Tour)

Seen it probably a dozen times and the only times I've understood any of it have been on an acid trip.

Too much Paul for my taste but I don't mind it. I also love that picture because George is ever-so-subtly giving us the finger.
