its a horrifically irritating album

THIS
Literally everything Fred Frith touches is premium poseurcore material
>>64821829
idk man. most people who call things poseurcore just seem like they're being cunts at people for branching out into more avant-garde and interesting things, but this is genuinely just ponsey bullshit.

This desu. Most of the "poseur" stuff is incredible and avant garde, but I can't defend this one.

I don't get you people. You're more intolerant than the "poseurs" you "criticize". That album is just comfy af I'm not getting the random hate. Maybe explain why you don't like it?
>>64822227
I just don't enjoy it personally. If you do, that's cool too, whatever man
unrelated note, so close to quints
>>64821502
holy shit senpai, stop concerning yourself with what other people are listening to

I just passed this up for $15 in a shop today, was reasonably tempted but I've never paid more than $10 for a record as long as I've been collecting, and its been 5 years since I was super into RIO. I still don't know if I should have grabbed it though, I'll probably never see it again around here, although it also may be at that shop for a while so I can go back in a few weeks/months and grab it if I want to.. Its only about 20 miles away. Should I get it to make my record collection look intellectual? I have been loading up on a fair amount of mindless raw funk and disco because I pretty much listen to music with my body now. Funny because I used to the most cerebral, insufferable navel-gazer on the planet and only listened to music that was sufficiently snooty, academic, and un-danceable; and now all I wanna hear is some sick groovy shit

God dammit that's stupid.
