What's the best Radiohead album in your opinion? I think it's Amnesiac, personally.
In Rainbows
Kid A or Amnesiac, they're pretty much equal to me.
Boi Oh
Objective album rankings:
Kid A = Amnesiac > AMSP > OKC = In Rainbows > TKOL > HTTT > The Bends >>> Pablo Honey
Amnesiac, to be honest.
People laugh when I tell them that. I'm glad you understand me /mu/
>>64786853
I'd switch TKOL with The Bends but good shit senpai
>>64786775
it used to be kid a, then it was ok computer, and now i'm back on kid a.
>>64786775
yea i just listened to this before amsp came out & its #1
Can we all agree Pyramid Song is the best thing they've ever done?
>>64786775
Everyone knows its the Bends or Amnesiac.

>>64787187

>>64787187

>>64787148
Agreed
>>64787025
This song changed my mind about Radiohead. Didn't like them as all i had heard was Pablo Honey. Thought their singles were good enough but then i heard this song and it was amazing.
>>64787043
This
The Bends and Amnesiac are my favourites.
I don't know which one I like better.
>>64786775
Amnesiac > Kid A > OK Computer > The Bends > In Rainbows > AMSP > TKOL > HTTT > Pablo Honey
>>64786775
I know it's the obvious choice, but this
Paranoid Android is probably their best song. Karma Police is probably second. And the rest of the album is better than all their others too
>>64786853
>Objective
>>64786775
Tier 1: Kid A and OK Computer
Tier 2: In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool
Tier 3: The Bends
Tier 4: Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief
Tier 5: The King Of Limbs
Tier 6: Pablo Honey
>>64788347
pretty accurate but amnesiac needs to be in a higher tier
>>64788347
Kid A is electronic shit
The first track is good but the rest are shit
>>64788432
look everyone it's an actual retard
Subjectively, Hail to the Thief. All personal biases aside, Kid A.
>>64787187
>>64786775
I have the opinion that Amnesiac has the best production quality out of the Radiohead discography, the way they played with industrial on that record was brilliant.
>>64788479
Wew lad watch that edge, might cut yourself there
>>64786775
For me it's between Amnesiac and In Rainbows. It kind of depends on what mood I'm in. I think AMSP could potentially be up there too
>>64786775
PH > TB > TKOL > HTTT > Amnesiac > AMSP > IR > Kid A > OKC
Why is AMSP so good?
It doesn't have those fantastic moments and tracks like OKC and Kid A but I can't stop listening to it
>>64786775
AMSP might be desu senpai
>>64789962
for me, it's Kid A. I'd put Amnesiac, OK Computer, A Moon Shaped Pill, and In Rainbows in the same tier. And then The Bends and HtTT > TKoL > Pablo Honey.
Amnesiac
OK
Kid A
AMSP
IR
HTTT
Bends

I haven't decided about AMSP yet. Haven't listened to it enough
I am yet to listen to In Rainbows, TKOL, or A Meme Shaped Poop. As of RIGHT NOW, my favorite is OK Computer.
>>64787025
thats not 15 step or let down or the national anthem or EEIRP

GREAT-TIER:
Amnesiac
OK Computer
A Moon Shaped Pool
MEDIOCRE-TIER
The King Of Limbs
The Bends
PABLO HONEY TIER:
Pablo Honey

So can we all agree that this is the best album from the 90's?
Kid A is my personal favorite but this album is still perfect. Nothing from the 90's except maybe Laughing Stock can touch it imo.
>>64793215
Present Tense
Like Spinning Plates
There, There
Scatterbrain
Reckoner
the list goes on and on famo
>>64788347
Swap Amnesiac with OKC and this is right
>>64793215

Knives Out
Street Spirit
There There

Quality taste, only thing I'd swap is KOL with in rainbows.
Moon Shaped Pool
i've listened to IR more than any other album i think, it's perfect and everything i wanted from them, no politics, just a jam from start to finish
i have to pick IR
>>64793844
I agree. For me it's gotta go
IR > Kid A > KoL > Amnesiac > AMSP > OKC > HttT > The Bends
Never listened to PH so it's not on the list
>>64793844
> just a jam
Hell of a jam with those kind of lyrics. To be honest, TKOL feels more like a jam record to me.
not a fan of them, but amsp is really fantastic. that's my favorite.
>>64787078
Korn.
>>64793922
With that ranking I guarantee you won't be the contrarian that puts PH higher than dead last anytime soon. Still, it is a competent if not generic alt rock record. For competionism's sake it's worth at least one listen.
>>64787078
>Pablo has the same score as Kid A
>>64793395
OK Computer is still the album I get the most feels from. It really just seems to hit that spot of isolation + emotional longing.
Radiohead's music always feels about being lonely due to technology, but OK Computer is their album where it feels like there is human yearning for something more...Makes me believe that rich genuine emotion just might be possible.
>>64793988
Nah, I think I'd like it too, but Radiohead's one of my favorite bands and I don't think anything could beat their work from 2000-2011. Still, I love The Bends and it's an almost perfect record. It just hasn't aged well considering where Radiohead ended up.
>>64786775
HTTT > Amensiac > OK Computer > IR Disk 2 > The Bends > IR = Kid A = TKOL > Pablo Honey
Unranked: AMSP
>>64787078
I've always hated this pretentious faggot.
This is definitive proof that he was never respectable and has always been a hack. 100% laughable.
I'm not gonna lie.
I've come to think Kid A is overrated. I feel highly skeptical of my own opinion honestly. I may someday change my opinion, because most people seem to feel passionately about it.
I honestly rank the albums like so:
OK Computer
In Rainbows
Kid A
The Bends
Hail to the Thief
Amnesiac
The King of Limbs
A Moon Shaped Pool
All the pairings are basically equal in my mind.
OK Computer is more or less a masterpiece of production, songwriting, performance, and everything else. Lately I honestly think I might like In Rainbows more, but I need more time to stand for that. For now, I think OK Computer is indisputable.
>>64794391
>faust arp is just a few acoustic guitar chords played over and over again
If you don't already see why this is wrong, I doubt I can ever convince you
>>64794299
at least he provides in-depth detail to support his opinions instead of "R U KIDDING ME?!" like you just did
not to say i agree with him but scaruffi's criticism is justified
Hail to the Thief and OK computer
>>64786775
the one with creep
>>64793395
>Nothing from the 90's except maybe Laughing Stock can touch it imo.
fucking kek. so wrong
let down is the feeliest song ever
Here is the correct order:
Amnesiac
Kid A
A Moon Shaped Pool
OK Computer
The Bends
TKOL
Pablo Honey
Hail to the Thief
>>64795028
Oops forgot In Rainbows
It's right under AMSP
>>64795028
> HTTT below PH
I vehemently disagree but respect your opinion nonetheless.
>>64794724
>y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
>>64795089
then you have shit taste, or you havent heard enough albums from the 90s
Httt is so underrated and in rainbows is so overrated.
>>64795182
100% agreed, and wtf happened on Pablo honey that everyone seems to rate it their least favorite?
Amnesiac = Kid A = IR > AMSP > OKC > HTTT > TKOL > The Bends > ....Pablo Fuck.
>>64795256
A generic alt rock record turned out to be near unanimously considered worse than a subsequent consistently great run of albums. Funny, that.
>>64795633
Eh, maybe on its more standout tracks. Regardless, it ironically gets blown the fuck out by The Bends so it's a hard album to champion in the grander scheme of things.
>>64786775
I think I would agree! Although OK Computer has grown on me a lot over the past year, so I'd say it's pretty close
am i the only person that literally hates hearing creep and it is the only song i will skip every time?
i like pablo honey, but like most people i wouldn't put it above anything else, it's just, not there. Vegetable? Lurgee? You? Blow Out? Even Ripchord is pretty damn good. Thom's vocals are on point throughout the album. Anyway, Creep is shit.
>>64793844
This.
Give it a couple decades and people will see IR as their best album.
>>64795951
agree completely
>>64794408
Disgustingly pleb.
>>64795951
Creep is best song on Pablo Honey bitch
>>64796807
I feel bad that I still identify with this song so hard.
OK Computer!! Obviously
>>64786860
Amnesiac starts off very strong (stronger thsn Kid A) but it drops in quality after Knives out.
Can we all agree that AMSP is fantastic and that it will go down as a classic?
1. In Rainbows
2. Kid A
3. The Bends
>>64796864
Yeah.
>>64796859
Ill agree that hunting bears + dollars and cents are kinda filler, but spinning plates and life in a glasshouse are fantastic, I also prefer the amnesiac version of morning bell
>>64786860
It's my second favorite. It's an album that sounds like I'm imagining a radiohead album in a dream from fragments of their music imbedded in my memory.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuCY7ldETM8
Sometimes I forget this happened.
>>64794473
idk why people even read his stuff. you realize that most of his reviews are after one listen right?
