I've lost three pairs of these in three years to wiring issues.
What the fuck happened, why is their quality so horrible? Did some chinks buy them out or something?

Which model?
>buying another pair of the same brand headphones after 2 of them broke
Same here. Tired of Sennheiser's bullshit but I have a warranty so I'm getting another pair of Momentum's next week.

These cheeky cunts.
>>64783748
Oh yeah, Momentums are basically their response to Beats. They started going for the fashion crowd rather than the audiophile crowd, so build quality is a much lower priority than looks. Older stuff like the HD280 Pro are built like tanks.

Get some of these. I've had them for 4 years, and they still work great. Finally got around to replacing the earpads (which were filthy) and they feel like new

Momentum 2.0s sound great tho tbhsu famsu
>>64783489
Idk op,
I have a 25 year old pair I got at a thrift store that works A okay
>>64783578
Had to look this up. Two of them were HD439s (got a replacement via warranty that just died) and one was an HD360

I only got sennheiser earphones for a long time since they were the only ones around that weren't squishy nibbed ones that i despise, and their lifespan is about 4 months its ridiculous, weirdly enough ask any sound guy in theatre and they'll swear by sennheiser apparently

Yeah but the build is trash, they aren't meant for long term use, I literally had the Momentum's that I had in the pic that I posted for only 4 months until they broke.

4 months.

I had some from that line as well, very cheap and plasticky. Basically Sennheisers start being good in the mid-price range, stuff like the HD598. The rest of their product range is pretty shit, but their best headphones are some of the best headphones around.
>buying shillheisers even once
>>64784022
that's because you're buying budget headphones
>>64784006
You might want to look into getting you some new pads.
>>64784693
I got new ones but desu the clamping force is so perfect on these and the pads are a very light spongienss that I hardly feel anything
I've owned HD 518, HD 598, and HD 800 (wearing right now). Never had any issues. And I rarely see complaints about their quality control.
My Audeze, on the other hand...
I've had a pair of HD570's for as long as I can remember and aside from replacing the pads once every couple years I've never had any trouble with them.
I've moved onto speakers as of recent but they've served me well.
I bought a pair of Momentum last year and it's already going dead in one ear. Don't know what else to get though, they're the best for the money and I like that they're small and portable, not real bulky.
