Well turny has turntablism and jazzthreadguy I assume is some big jazz expert so in terms of music knowledge, they have some but those other three I listed, what do they do? Their fav albums appear to be some generic, mainstream (by /mu/ standards) pop/rock stuff and they've contributed nothing other than just being around for a long time. Why do they get treated as tastemakers?

Pitchfork has very uneven quality of reviews. Their top lists for early decades served me well to expose myself to classics, but their biases are omnipresent in their views.

Scaruffi is the only man on the list to write several books on music while keeping a non-profit review website. He seems a bit pretentious, but he reviews everything out of pure enthusiasm.
Fantano is some YouTube-famous pleb who reviews new music. It's fun and all, but he's an amateur. I could do the same job as him. Why the fuck would I listen to someone who perhaps hasn't even listened to kraut essentials?
