Curve are a great band. They do take a little immersion to appreciate them fully. One of my top 5 favorite bands of all time.

Pubic Fruit>Cuckoo>Doppelganger>Gift>
Open Day at the Hate Fest>Come Clean

Way of Curve has some great unreleased material.

Cuckoo is even better, listen to that if you haven't already.

Great band, great album. Did you listen also to their compilation Pubic Fruit? It's even better than Doppelganger.
>>
Only thing I've heard from Curve is aphex's remix

And pretty much all of his other albums. When I started listening to him, his sound was new and pretty bizzare to me. After listening to it for 3 more times my ears got used to the ''outside'' sound and I couldn't stop listening to his music ever since. And after that - he instantly became a ''new'' guitar hero for me.

Do you know that Toni Halliday sang on this great Leftfield tune, Original? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SILVQpqmH7U

No but then again I'm not really into Leftfield.

It's a Vevo video. Here's another link (no music video this time, just audio): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L16lITl6o4M

Definitely, since /mu/ is 90% pop...

Pleb choices

Here's the patrician picks:

Galaxy

All of One
https://youtu.be/9kLsLnZkBQE
>>
>>64663217
Pleb or not, they're generally considered their best songs (also my own favorites). Why does /mu/ have to be so contrarian all the fucking time?

>>64663178
That was a recommendation, kinda offtopic.
>>
>>64663282
I was giving you shit. Calm down. Anybody posting Curve songs on /mu/ is allright with me.
>>
>>64663074
>>64663217
Just listening to the Doppelgaenger title track now, pretty cool stuff. Thanks for those recs.
>>
>>64663313
OK. By the way, I love Galaxy. It's one of their catchiest songs. All of One is not one of favorites, but it's still good.

Gift may be their most underrated album. It's as good as their earlier albums, IMO.

Curve were also awesome on their more downtempo songs:

Totally agree with you about Gift. Pisses me off that I put off listening to it for so long.

Also for anyone that cares:

Toni Halliday solo project, Chatelaine:
Broken Bones

And Dean Garcia w/ his daughter Rose Berlin on vox: SPC ECO
Fading Out

>Coming Up Roses
Well played.

I think Come Clean is their worst album but I'd still rate it a 7/10.
>>
>>64663533
Dean Garcia was involved in a lot of projects. The most memorable ones besides SPC ECO were The Secret Meeting (with the band Collide) and KGC (with the 2 main KMFDM members).

Damn! Where have you been all of my my /mu/ life? Have both those albums. Nice! Also Dean Garcia with Perry Pellonero and Kim Welsh from bliss.city.east = Morpheme. And with Slade Templeton, The Chronologic.

Garcia is such an underrated musician. Great bass player and producer.
>>
>>64663859
He has some solo work too, as Headcase.
>>
Personal fave: this Dean Garcia's collab with Chibi from The Birthday Massacre: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT1lL7GGHe0

Very Curve-ish.

Actually listening to all tracks posted here and I like this thread. But I'm one of the 9.

Thread made my day. Of all the years I've been on this board this may be the only thread I've seen totally devoted to Curve.

And I'm 7 of 9.

So where do you guys come down on the whole Curve/Garbage controversy? Some people get genuinely twisted over it in some corners of the internet.

>>64664253
Great list of songs.
>>
>>64664380
+1. It feels like a continuation of Cherry. So mindblowing.
>>
>>64664435
Just saw Garbage mentioned in a yt comment, what's that all about?
>>
>>64664435
Both bands are great and have their own style. Garbage were inspired by Curve' sound but only on specific songs from their debut. Garbage were always more pop and more diverse than Curve.

The accusations of ripping off are terribly off the mark.
>>
>>64664495
It's an old thing. Curve fans tend to hate Garbage. They accused this band of ripping off Curve's sound and having success. That is not true. Curve were already doomed to stay underground when Garbage started.
>>
>>64664579
Agreed. I think the whole bruhaha is much ado about nothing. I like both bands but they only superficially sound similar. The bands themselves have even said the same and wished each other the best.
>>
>>64664680
Curve actually benefited from Garbage being successful. Many Garbage fans (like me) found later about Curve and became fans as well.

Garbage is like a more upbeat cousin of the darker Curve. There's no reason to not like both bands.
>>
>>64664765
Fucking exactly. Couldn't have said it better.
