>no /classical/
Give me a subject and I'll try to make it a fugue. It should be pretty short, of course.
I guess I'll go with the best one if there are multiple.
well bump I guess.
Sounds interesting, but please explain subject? Is it the English music term for theme (suggesting we should send in a theme) or subject as in "it should be about..."
Sorry, English isn't my native language

you sound pretentious. most of this board is pretentious though so thats not an insult

Do a fugue on WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FACE I HAVE FOUND IN THIS PLACE
>>64613618
The former. A subject is basically a short melody that a fugue is based on. Here's a good video on the matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyvSrpQ2eWY
You can hear the subject from 1:02 to 1:09, and then you hear it repeated in other keys throughout the piece.

I think I'll go with that, thanks.

Fuck I spoke too soon.
Well, if I have difficulties with this subject I might go with that.

Ah I see, literally translated theme in Dutch . I don't have time for it sadly, but I am curious to what you come up with

Finally got to the third entrance. Decided I'm not doing a strict countersubject 1 countersubject 2 sort of thing.
alright fuck it, it's been more of a slog than usual to work with this subject. I did my best to end it interestingly, albeit very much ahead of time. I finished the exposition at least.

Why? Because he made a fugue. Just liking something you don't doesn't make you pretentious.

>sorry, you don't have permission to read this score.
