Where can I find these for free online? I've been searching, but I haven't found anything and I can't afford to keep buying these expensive little shits

Pretty sure you can make a proposal on their website, but I doubt you'd get approved without any credentials

How about you get your own fucking taste for once in your life nerd

Literally every single one of these books is about dad rock shit
Even the newer albums: they're all the dad rock of tomorrow
>>

Have you looked on #bookz?
>>
>>64597085
you want people to write 150 page books about niche ambient noise you found on rateyourmusic?
books have to be printed and printing costs money. Reading these books isn't about taste, its about understanding whats actually good about the music we constantly praise on this site
>>
...have you tried your local library?
>>
meme books
read real music criticism

>appeal to crass commercialism

Wow you sure convinced me dude
Buying a book about motherfucking radiohead right now
>>
>>64596310
Yeah, I looked into it. They need a CV/resume, and you need a pretty detailed plan of what you're gonna write.

R Plus 7 would be a good one in about 8-10 years I think. It might be a little too fresh to be considered a 'classic'.
>>
>>64597326
how do you want these books to be made?
they're appealing to a niche demographic of music people anyway, they'll make a few scraps of money through it.

These books will not exist for albums with little to no following. There will not be a book dedicated to any of your special different albums you found through endless rym trawling, because those books printed would never make a profit. They wouldn't come close to making net profit.

I'm so sorry music professors with shit incomes don't want to spend weeks writing a book about your favourite album that only you and 12 other snowflakes will buy.
>>
>>64597647
I don't want them to be made.
They shouldn't be made and you shouldn't be reading them, especially if you fancy yourself a music enthusiast.
Like the other guy said, learn actual music theory and read actual criticism of things that aren't dad rock shit

https://333sound.com/33-13-series/

its got a lot of dad rock, sure
but also pop, post punk, electronic, hip hop, post rock, e.t.c
Nothing too avant-garde, just popular good music you'd find on any /mu/ chart

I think you're hung up on the albums being written about more than the quality of the music criticism. I'm not reading criticism on modern classical, it doesn''t interest me. Don't tell people what to read.

The thought of having someone explain to me in a whole fucking book why an album is good makes me cringe so hard.
>>
>>64595835
can you upload a link for the Erik Davis Led Zeppelin IV one, please?
>>
>>64598067
thats not what the 33 1/3 series is bro
>>
>>64598149
what is it then?
>>
>>64598257
it depends on how the writer goes about it. most of the times i finish reading one i feel a newfound appreciation for the album and the people who made it. spiderland was great, after reading it i realize it was a fluke that will never be replicated
