Serious question, why haven't you?
it got boring over time, but the first listen was incredible
>>64585072
this
>>64585239
>>64585379
Dunno, it's obviously important lyrically and from the roster of artists I expect it's quite diverse in beat for a rap record
>>64586333
Genuinely just haven't gotten around to it. There always seems to be other stuff to listen to, and I have no interest in the caustic threads about it on /mu/
it was like nothing I had ever heard before
Blew my mind the first time I heard it.
>>64586922
yup yup yup yup
Listening to this for the first time when I was in high school turned me into an emotional mess.
>>64587099

I happened upon In the Flowers just by chance and it floored me. Man I wish I could experience it all over again.
At least the Johnny Hobo half.

>>64586309

>>64586379
I listened to Sea of Voices when that single came out so I totally spoiled it when I heard the full album. Still a 10/10 track if you ask me.
Same thing happened with Lionhearted, only I was drunk when I heard that so I didnt really remember what it sounded like, was totally grooving when I heard it again though. Flicker sucks and always will suck though
Tbh this. I learned about it because of the Cyberpunk 2077 and it was the first album that connected with me on a level that felt like I was witnessing some kind of story or journey unfold.
It's got some pop-ey sides to it, and having listened to the kind of stuff that's popular on /mu/ you probably won't see now what I saw then, but it's still a solid album with an interesting atmosphere.
I'm still not sure these guys have a genre. The closest you'll come is Prog, but if so they are the most un-prog prog band you can find. There's elements of Alt-rock, Trip Hop, Post rock ambient and more in here.
>>64585116
I actively tried for a year to suppress the memory of this album so I could relisten to it with fresh ears.
>>64585487
Cuz it's a preachy album or cuz he's a jigaboo?
This board is fucked with it's racism
>>64586922
YES in the flowers especially blew my mind
>>64585026
>>64586922

See them live if you can. They may not play everything you want, but you'll probably get a new perspective on the songs.
>I'll never feel the feeling of seeing the aerodynamic music video on mtv for the first time again.

Probably between Nevermind or doolittle.
I was browsing Wikipedia one day during the summer between 9th and 10th grade and I found out John Lydon had another band after the Pistols. Listened to Public Image and fell in love. My first taste of post-punk could have never been better.
incredible album
Me and my girlfriend got high and decided to drive around town. It was Christmas time. I put this on since I bought it the previous day at the thrift store for a dollar. From the get-go the first track blew me away. "Hewlett's Daughter" and "The Crystal Lake" perfectly encapsulated the feeling of the season and by the time it got to "Underneath The Weeping Willow" I was tearing up. It was an experience and everything felt perfect. I would do anything to listen to this for the first time again.
>>64591549
>driving while under the influence
complete degeneracy
>>64585730
I genuinely have this opinion. I was going through a bunch of shit in my life when I discovered Marina and listened to all her albums in a single weekend. Hearing them for the first time was a fantastic experience that I wish I could relive.
However pic related is also something I wish I could listen to for the first time. There are so many good songs on here but now they're all just boring to me because I've heard them probably hundreds of times. I wish I could experience listening to it again for the first time.
Granted, the first time I listened to it was before I was really into music, but no initial listen has ever blown my mind harder than this did 4 years ago when I first heard it. Still fantastic too.
>>64585211
nah it sounds like music from a hyped up movie trailer
cliche to say for sure, but this album just came to me at a time when I was really starting to get into to hip hop and it was just fucking incredible to me back then.
>>64585026
I had to adjust to the sound of this album so no id rather listen right now for the 300th time still my favourite album
>>64587993
>>64589203
holy shit do I miss being a punk kid not giving a shit about anything and going to shows I haven't been to a show in like 2+ years
>>64592258
forgot the pic lmao
>>64592342
Have you listened to this album cover to cover on lsd?
I used to love him, then I did it.
I don't really even know if I like hip hop anymore after that experience.
>>64585026
i liked GKMC but i havent listened to this yet. im just put off by the album cover, album name and supposed themes
>>64592416
have not tried it on acid, but I'm actually planning on dropping acid for the first time this weekend after finals are over haha. should I stay away from this album?
>>64592416
that sounds horrible lol
>>64592342
this album will always be dear to my hear. i remember i was sixteen when it came out and my bestfriend, his gf, and i spent countless of hours in his basement smoking pot and playing this album during the summer of 2013. i loved them both. i miss them both. i miss those days of not having to care about anything. of just knowing that there was two other people that loved you as much as you loved them.
>>64587549
I've got to be honest, I never listened to this fucking album and thought people were bullshitting but I heard it for the first time during that "let's all listne to an album at the same time" thread about three years ago and that shit was incredible. I've love this album since then
>>64592496
It took me to every place a low dose of acid could go, cool shit as long as you're comfortable with fucking everything up real quick(which is what tripping is lol).
It was my 3rd lsd experience however so it might be a little strong for you.
How many ug/mic are the tabs your taking and how many are you taking? Have you tripped before?
I'd say stick to AnCo, MGMT, Tame impala, The Grateful Dead, etc.
>>64592511
there's no such thing as a bad trip and I learn more from the trying times than the easy ones.
>>64588616
>tfw that you've listened "i'm not a player but i fuck a lot" at least a billion times
>billion times
>times
>>64592684
never tripped before, just taking one blotter which my friend said had two hits on it. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to drugs outside of pot so idk. It was $10 haha. But yeah, had lined up some AnCo and MGMT for sure. A little unsure of what else to listen to. Considered making a thread asking /mu/ for suggestions but idk I always feel real weird talking on the internet about drug use

My first listen was terrible but I wanted to try it again, thank God I did because now it's one of my all time favorites
the transition between don't get lost and demon days is gr8
>>64592886
the mars volta and neutral milk hotel were both pretty fucking awesome on acid
>>64592928
About to listen to this for the first time. What should I expect?
>>64592886
Be prepared that it may not be acid, swallow the tab immediately and don't drink water for 40min, safest way to go about ingesting unknown blotters. On the street 1 dose of acid can be 75-100ug and 2 would be 180-200ug.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is the ability to let it happen, don't try to have negative thoughts about whatever situation your in, that will make them worse.

Go to 420chan's psychedelics board they had a thread.

>>64593125
appreciate it man
>>64585026
Why the heck is that album considered so good...
>>64589717
Pleb
>>64593147
no don't swallow the tab immediately. leave it on your tongue for a bit and if it tastes like anything other than paper then spit that shit out its not acid
>>64593307
haven't seen this meme in awhile
>>64593079
he's right, that transition will be your highlight of the album it's just so fucking GOOD I WISH I COULD HEAR IT AGAIN FROM THE START
Very underrated
Tried to get into Elliott a few times before this and was never really a fan
Put on this one because I had nothing better to listen to, got bored of Speed Trials and skipped to the next song (Alameda) to see if there was anything better on the album
I very specifically remember that the goddamn second the drums and guitar started it blew my mind just how incredible of a song it was and it didn't stop for the rest of the album
Elliott is my favorite musician
>>64593297
Yeah this is the answer I would give to a more serious psychonaut but I was more of thinking
>paid for a ticket
>take the ride
I took 2-ci once and it only made me want to trip more, I value all experiences, especially since one tab of a psychoactive stimulant will not do any harm unless you have an allergy to the substance. even if it is some other RC. lsd is the only one that fits on a blotter and can be swallowed.
>>64591549
such a nice album
>>64592590
damn thats comfy
I've never really had a transcendental experience with music like you guys are kind of describing :( sounds cool though
mjk in his vocal prime
first time i heard it i was on a fantastic acid trip. i would like to relive that whole night.

>>64593630
too bad the album was mediocre and didn't match the hype.
>>64593368
hnng
>>64593783
mmm. if you prune it down to the tracks just used in yeezy season 3, its pretty prime. but the bad tracks hurt the momentum/really turn it into turgid listening for long stretches.
>>64585730
i think her stuff gets played out really fast, but man were they fun on the first few listens
>>64589588
This, I was such a pleb to music in general when I listened to it for the first time, and I couldn't understand anything he was saying. God I wish I could listen to it fresh once again knowing what I know now about hip hop.
I wish I'd gone to see him on the Age of Adz tour (when I was a huge fan of St. Vincent), but I'm glad I waited until I did to listen to him. Everything seemed to fall into place perfectly. It all starts with those first bars.
