>I’ll come around when you're down
NEVER GONNA BE PRESIDENT NOW (NEVER GONNA BE PRESIDENT NOW)
(Hamilton thread?)
Well if she wants to see me
You can tell her that I'm easily found

Take Care
How do i into Hamilton? I've tried listening to it based on a recommendation, but the first part was too hard to get through. I also know jack shit about history, is that the problem?
>tfw I've never cried to an album
>tfw I've only cried once in 10 years
>>64353294
This and Born to Run, specifically Jungleland.
Goosebumps everytime
>>64354714
What did you dislike about it?
Anyway, to really appreciate it, set aside some time and read through the lyrics on Genius while listening to it. http://genius.com/albums/Lin-manuel-miranda/Hamilton-original-broadway-cast-recording
I love that it respects both history and the hip hop and r&b it takes inspiration from. You don't need to know any history to enjoy it; it tells you the story.
>>64351645
Someone out there must think I'm viraling this, but honestly it did and I'm still not sure why.
It was somewhere along the middle is all I remember. The atmosphere and samples got me at some point.
IT's perfect listen-in-the-dark-core,
>>64354714
Do you want to watch a bootleg of it?
>>64354714
Don't do it. It's basically tumblr meme shit. The Undertale of musical theater.
>>64351645
>tfw I cried when Lump Sum
>tfw I found the texts saying she loved me
>>64353983
Why are you so paranoid to post?

>>64354792
I just didn't like the music in general, not into it at all.
>>64354806
it might help i don't know
>>64354831
I was trying to deny this possibility, because the person who recommended it was an old friend, god dammit.
This fucking album. Story time /mu/, let me tell you a tale of how his album makes me cry every time.
I used to listen to this album back in the day, during sophomore year of high school. All my friends loved the shit out of it, me included. Around this time, we also started smoking marijuana and playing Minecraft pretty religiously, so the memories of us doing all three of those things simultaneously come flooding back to me every time I listen to this album, especially "Smile Like You Mean It", and "Change Your Mind", because we all agreed those were the best tracks.
Anyway, fast forward a year or so later, to mid 2013, and one of my best friends was in a car accident that killed him. I was, naturally, stricken with grief, as were all my other friends. We didn't really know how to carry on with our lives, considering that we were a pretty tight group and everyone at school could just see how hard we were taking the loss.
Because of the death, one of my friends developed a pretty strong drug addiction to multiple prescription medications including Vyvanse and adderall which eventually caused him to drop out of high school. He never died from these drugs, but he's a piece of shit these days. The stealing, in and out of jail type drug addict.
As a result of our group of 5 losing one, and basically losing another to drug addiction, we all kinda just drifted apart. We had been friends since the 6th grade prior, but now I haven't spoken to any of them in about 2 years and they've all moved off to different colleges, except the drug addict who is god knows where now, while I stayed in town and started a business.
So yeah. This album makes me fucking sad. I can barely stand to listen to it without having the memories come flooding back and eventually devolving into me bawling my fucking eyes out.

>pic related is a screencap of the second boot
>>64354971
The first boot is from the previews and has a few minor things such as a couple of lyrics and choreo that they changed in the actual run. Act 1 starts a bit into the first verse of Alexander Hamilton while Act 2 starts at "Thomas Jefferson's coming home" in What'd I Miss.
The second boot is filmed at a pretty good angle and is somewhat more energetic though both are pretty good in general. I recommend the second boot.
>>64355072
Thanks so much anon, now I don't have to be depressed I will never get to see it o Broadway.
>>64355102
No problem.
Also, if anyone wants me to post any more bootlegs: look at my list at http://anothernationalanthem.weebly.com and tell me what you want and I'll post it here for free.
>>64355072
the mp4 one is a lot smaller? Why is that? how much is sacrificed
Lady Stardust touches me for some reason
>>64355065
It's depressing as fuck
>>64355156
Also relatable as fuck. GB leating GB is pretty much my experience with the opposite sex.
>>64355142
I find that they're both pretty similar in quality and that the MP4 doesn't really suffer.
That being said, the MP4 was ripped from the DVD using some freeware ripping software, I would assume, and as a result, a watermark appears on the top left occasionally. The screencap on >>64355142 is from the MP4 version while the VOB obviously isn't HD quality, it's a tiny bit clearer.
>>64355213
Gonna go see them live soon. They are supporting Elvis drepessedly. Gonna be a sad gig
I really can't imagine crying because of music as an adult. The only thing that makes me cry now is death and a select couple memories.
>crying to music
>being ages 14-16
