literally every other Kanye albums are
You only really appreciate this album if you've fallen in love... backpackers like >>64253933 always try to step in and tell you what this album is but they don't get it man. It's really some of kanye's most soul shattering music
>>64253805
My second favorite Kanye release after MBDTF, i just love eveything about it, plebs just don't understand
>>64253805
His 2nd best after MBDTF and his most underrated album
My 3rd favorite after MBDTF and Yeezus. I think Yeezus is very underrated.
>>64255756
I agree some tracks from Yeezus are criminally underrated (Guilt Trip being one) but 808s is more consistent imho
>>64255794
I agree that 808's is more consistent. Robocop is the only track I dislike. Everything else is great. But I think that the best tracks from Yeezus (Black Skinhead, New Slaves, Hold My Liquor), are phenomenal and some of his very best work, 808's doesn't really have those killer tracks imo.
>>64255874
I agree that Yeezus had a bigger impact on first listen but I think 808s has had a greater longevity exactly because of how understated it is - great albums, different approaches
>>64255874
The thing with Yeezus is that it's not consistent at all. It has amazing tracks (Black Skinhead, Blood On the Leaves) but it also has many mediocre tracks. 808 is a coherent work, a statement which defined Kanye as a pop artist and shaped the pop-hiphop explosion that followed its release.
