I live south of Orange County and it's just a bunch of garage/surf/punk imitations and riot grrl. Which isn't terrible I guess.
When I lived in Central Florida there was an awesome metal/hardcore scene but once I moved up to Grand Rapids its all hip hop and urban music. I went from being a good vocalist to a shitty producer.
pretty decent until the best band in the area broke up, now it's all just boring folk punk
