...No. Nothing I've heard, regardless of the subgenre, has managed to shake the impression that jazz is just a couple of musicians in a soulless manner, with no consideration for each other and no intent to contribute to a larger musical whole, executing their own, isolated handful of transformations.
Fusion, yes, might perhaps have inherited some emotion and design.
