ITT: We post hate for vinyl and vinylfags with their stupid """""hobby""""".

Shit Vinylfags Say:
>It sounds warmer.
>You appreciate music more if you actually go through the effort if looking for it. Having all of your music available at the click of a button has had a detrimental effect of people's appreciation of music.
>Vinyl actually encourages you to listen to the full album in its proper trackorder instead of being a pleb who only listens to single songs.
>You're using a Crosley? With NO COUNTERWEIGHT?!?!?! Have fun ruining all of your records.
>Vinyl is killing the mp3 industry!
>Life has surface noise!
>Wow you sure are a butthurt poorfag about the fact you can't afford vinyl. Sour grapes much?
>I just like collecting it for the artwork.
>It's just a """"""""""""""""""""hobby"""""""""""""""""""" I don't know why you're so upset.
>>
>>64173513
Holy shit. Kill yourself OP.
Digital is literally the worst way to listen to music. You don't physicaly touch the albums, you don't get all the cool shit, you don't EXPERIENCE the album as it is supposed to.

Stop being so salty you faggot and let people persue their hobby.

The atrocity
>>
Most vinylfags create a net of friends and orbiters that constantly reassure them of their good taste, weather it's true or not. They feel threatened when they see representations of people with better taste, as it forces them to self-reflect on their own inadequacies.

Meanwhile, when digital audio listeners see that, they either don't care or use it as fuel to improve themselves

i got a few vinyl lps. one thing ill say about it is I listen better after I've pulled the thing out of a sleeve and committed to a side. music becomes a bit less of a decoration. cant beat the ease of use or discovery that the internet presupposes, but as an alternative experience its nice. plus you get to support your favorite artists by buying overpriced shit.

You're right about no point in hating vinylfags, but the idea about it correlating deeply to mortality or fantasies is ill begotten. Hating vinylfags implies that they aren't of the same human nature you are. It's thinking that you're choices, values, morals, decisions are all correct whereas there's aren't. It is the double standards that shape the way people think of you when you have sex or get into a relationship.

The idea that everyone is unique is a stupid one. They all learn their behavior off of something else, and digital audio listeners haven't always been these perfect examples. If you take in consideration that some people will do bad things to get what they want, you get the people who will approve of degeneracy as long as it benefits them.

To truly understand the reason behind why people do things, you need to reflect on yourself and others very deeply. It is all a bunch of patterns, causes, and effects that repeat themself until a different action is taken.

reversed the roles there, eh bud? quite unnecessary i think, but if you lost the argument guess you gotta try to save face somehow :\

>Meanwhile, when digital audio listeners see that, they either don't care or use it as fuel to improve themselves
i realize it's pointless, it's much easier to just be wrong and live in a pathetic bubble. there's just no use in arguing with you, you just have no interest in exploring anything. much easier to explore you instead, and the kind of autism that makes up such a character :\
pathetic and dissapointing, but really i don't know what i expected from a vinyl hate thread on /mu/
my mistake for coming here expecting to find logic or intelligence, my mistake lads :^(

You can't really stop them except by cutting off the narcissistic supply. But you can't force the cutting of the supply, and there are always faggots who will engage a supposed seller on record store day, so it can't be stopped.

Vinylfags generally just hate to see digital audio listeners giving their time and energy to anything but them. They hate it when digital audio listeners are together striving for something without them. Another factor is that vinylfags are expert emotional abusers; digital audio camaraderie, brotherhood, gives us a support system and validation and affirmation entirely apart from vinyl, and for a vinylfags to exert maximum control over the medium, they must limit our sources of happiness and validation apart from themselves.

You must remember that vinylfag's nature is to consume and destroy as much as possible for themselves. They are parasites, after all.

Think of them like the aliens in Independence Day.

anybody else hate cassettefags? I used to think "live and let live" until I met some and start seeing more of them online. what the fuck. they're always so mentally fucked up and self-centered. and this shit where they try to make you a bad person for simply acknowledging what they and everybody else knows - it is an outdated medium without the quality of vinyl.

sometimes I see a thread with questions directed toward vinylfags and then some cassettefag always come in and acts as if they can speak for vinylfags and as if the question was directed towards them. no, stop. you are not a high quality medium. you will never be vinyl. you know you are too poor for vinyl, stop trying to make everybody else acknowledge you as a collector just because you feel bad for being poor.

We are practically in the future and should develop new and amazing tecnology. Just look at the video industr, blueray, all those 1080p, etc.... Companies are wasting time and money to those stupid device for a few faggots that just want to take pics of their vinyls and post it on Tumblr....
I mean i understand if you are a ~50 years old dude and its not confortable using a PC to just listen to your music.

some people dedicate large portions of their lives to building a better record stack-- and they make it work i guess. i just do it as a little side activity.
get home from work, crack some beers, listen through a few records, browse the chan. it is very ritualistic in the sense of it's something that takes effort to enjoy. i like it that way sometimes, makes it easier to relax to.

>>64177881

>>64177795
Is English a second language for you? Genuine question.

Also, it doesn't matter if it's obsolete. horseback riding is obsolete, and a horse is expensive. Equestrians could afford a car, but yet they ride horses.

Then there's the fact that equestrians do have cars, and vinyl listeners do have digital collections
>>
>>64177964
>Equestria
Theres already have magic in that world, why the fuck would need to need to improve new tecnology???
>>
>>64177875

The ironic thing is that most (serious) listeners of records have music rigs that are far superior technology wise to "minimalists" who listen to their music on a PC/Smartphone through earbuds, bluetooth speakers, and shitty headphones (no, AT50xs aren't good).

Computers are also horrendously noisy environments to listen to music through. A revealing setup will pickup whatever distortion the PC is adding.

I collect cassettes and i release my music on cassettes.
Personally it doesn't matter what format i get my music on. As long as i'm supporting the artist, then i'm just fine with the format.

The thing about cassettes though is the AESTHETIC, it's alot more fun to design artwork, get different coloured cassettes and so forth; then to just design a sleeve and a round logo and just be done with it. And plus, the turn around time for vinyl is fucking insane. Plus the price, just not worth it for small releases.

Cassettes are hi-fidelity, it's just a question of having a good cassette player, with good Dolby Noise Reduction.

I get what you're saying though, someone that feels above all others just because he buys a specific fucking format of music is an annoying prick.
