Jazz is literally better rounded, more intriguing, and a way better live performance than ANY of those could ever hope to be. I feel sorry for you bro, because you're missing out. The best live shows I have been to have been jazz shows and that's because jazz musicians play with such understanding of theory they can literally improvise an entire show and no show is exactly the same, or even remotely similar. Hearing a change up at a jazz show is unpredictable, and striking. You actually FEEL the music as it moves through you. The only thing I feel you could comprehend comparing it to would be a jam band at a festival, but you probably just find improvisation and creating progressions on the fly to be "musical wankery" rather than actual technique and style because you're uneducated and not well versed in music. At all.

Sounds like you enjoy music which is extremely based on evenly subdivided unison rhythms, repeating patterns, complex yet perfectly synchronised melodies working together to form a lattice like effect type buzz. All of those genres are kinda "need and tidy" genre's where everything is quantised together and it's all based on patterns and mathematical shit and everything is very "together" and logical, thought out and planned. It's no wonder you don't like jazz, jazz is all about freedom, everyone improvising and making shit up in the moment, constantly changing linear melodies, multiple instruments playing shit that doesn't perfectly sync up with each other so it creates a way more scattered, tense and kinda confusing I guess texture.

I have absolutely no issue with technical metal, I think everyone should like what they like and there is probably heaps of great stuff in the genre. However, you seem to be under the misapprehension that technical metal is some incredibly complex, hard to appreciate genre from a music theory standpoint, especially compared to jazz. Dude, technical metal is absolutely fucking babbies first theory compared to jazz. It is a million times more simple to learn, play and understand theoretically.
