I'd imagine the reason why a lot of musicians, especially people like Dean, turn to music in the first place is to have an alternative means of self-expression precisely because they're poor communicators
Which would be why so many of the musicians that are labelled as "dark" or "experimental" are awkward as fuck in interviews or just dodge interviews completely
