Yeezus. Not that I'm not aware that it's divisive but for the life of me I do not understand the heaps of critical praise. I feel like it's trying so hard to be experimental for experimentalism's sake that it forgets to say much of anything, and what substance it does have is worn out by the time the second half kicks in. I dunno, I can't get behind the hype at all.

I like Death Grips quite a lot but The Money Store just seems like they gave creative control to Andy completely for it, and he just weeaboo'd it up to shit. It's an okay album, I just can't understand why people say it's even close to their best work.
I like dream pop/shoegaze but I don't get what's so special about this album. It's like listening to 90's department store background music.

It's pretty much the most accessible entry point into their discography and little else. I guess there's also the whole "discernible imagery about Fraser embracing motherhood" bit but eh. Once you get into the band proper you realize that they have better albums. Still, some tracks like Pitch the Baby and Fotzepolitic are top notch.
