Listen to both of these, both sound very similar in terms of instrumentation, tempo, atmosphere, sounds, etc... Interestingly enough, Sigur Rós has a male singer who uses falsetto, and Fever Ray uses a deep vocal effect.

but yeah, i read somewhere i think she said she was inspired by a tomahawk album, and the dead man soundtrack/drone thing by that jim guy. wouldn't be surprised if sigur ros somehow inspired her though, the sonics sound VERY alike.
