>What do you think of picture related?
not bad, not as good as Ravedeath either
>What are your favorites?
Tim Hecker is the only consistently innovative ambient artist but from recent-ish stuff I liked Glimmer by Jacaszek and Procession Acts by Villages
>What would you recommend to listen to?
pic related, always pic related

Love Streams is pretty good.
Try and give Siavash Amini a listen. He's a great producer from Teheran;

Subsiding is better album I think. Still the music leaves much to be desired. I prefer a bit more pronounced ambient. Too bad there are not a lot of people doing stuff like Hecker does, every other ambient out there is just huge bland swaths of sound but not enough actual musical elements.
bump
what are you doing guys, first ambient thread in a long time and you let it slide? if its anything else other than listening to ambient you should be ashamed
Loved Love Streams. Don't get why everyone's sleeping on it.
Another favorite ambient musician of mine is William Basinski.

I liked lovestreams but nobody seems to be talking about it. My favorite ambient album is Tim Heckers Virgins. Check out a small craft on a milk sea.

I think that I want more of this
like really, the ambient I want to listen to is engaging and powerful, not furniture music
one could argue "why call it ambient then?" but I'd say that I don't want any beats or rhythms and ambient is the most used word for these texture based electronic genres
>electronic music
>good
Pick one

You can't go wrong with Ben Frost. By The Throat is a couple genres ( or I guess, experimental ) drone / ambient/ noise etc
