Why has this album been forgotten by pretty much everyone?
It's mostly pop, but the good kind. The album has very little if any filler and half of the songs are solid single material. The lyrics actually bring the feels.
superior album

It depends on your taste, but it doesn't change the fact that Garbage has been forgotten in general
>>64124517
i was listening to them last night, their albums were reissued recently. what are you talking about?
>>64124570
I never see Garbage mentioned in any "best of the '90s / 2000s" lists or on /mu/. But good to know they had some reissues recently.
>>64124419
It's their most underrated album. Maybe because it has quite many ballads and it's less rock than before. It's pretty good, but the previous albums (Garbage & Version 2.0) are much better.
The band Garbage = awesome.
>>64125144
what's the best song on 2.0? When I Grow Up and Special have always been my jams.
>>64125144
Maybe it's just my bias, because I grew up when Shut Your Mouth, Androgynous, and Cherry Lips were in heavy rotation on radio, but I enjoy Beautiful Garbage the most. I've never been ashamed of pop/ballads though.
Garbage 2.0 is at least good, it definitely has some great songs, but I re-listened to it just an hour ago and turned it off halfway into it. It sounds like they tried too hard to fit in alternative rock, some songs like When I Grow up sound cheesy because of it. Also, IMO it has some obvious filler. I Think I'm Paranoid is still amazing though.
I listen to Beautiful Garbage and it sounds by far more refined in virtually every aspect to me.
>>64125383
IMO:
>I Think I'm Paranoid
>You Look So Fine
>Dumb
>>64125383
Push It, I Think I'm Paranoid or Temptation Waits. Killer songs.
>>64125570
>songs like When I Grow up sound cheesy
nigga that is a fantastic song gtfo
well good to know there are 4 people on /mu/ who understand how fantastic this band's music is
>>64126969
Yes indeed. It's fun and catchy like hell.
>>64127731
Garbage are so underrated.

That's not like a rapper to get caught plagiarising...
>Garbage
>on /mu/
This is a good day. Version 2.0 is by far superior. BG has its moments, but it's pretty good.
Anyone excited about their upcoming album, Strange Little Birds? The first single Empty will be premiered next week.
>Garbage thread on /mu/
What the actual fuck.
Version 2.0 > Garbage > Not Your Kind Of People >>> beautifulgarbage > Bleed Like Me
I don't know how this can possibly be disputed.
>>64128354
This is correct.
>>64128340
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE
I actually didn't know about this. I mean, I knew they were talking about recording a new album but I didn't know they were already recording it. Nice.
>>64128354
Some say their debut is better than Version 2.0. They're pretty equal to me.
>>64128390
They already finished it. It's out on 10 June.
>>64128418
I'd agree that they're about interchangeable but I do think Version 2.0 is a hair more consistent in quality. It's also lyrically better than the debut IMO. Either way though, they easily claim the top 2 spots.
>>64128490
Well, shit. I have things to look forward to.
>>64128495
I listened to these albums countless times. I know them very well.
How many know that Butch Vig (their drummer and main producer) also produced Nevermind, Siamese Dreams, and Dirty?
>>64128575
Nevermind and Dirty, yeah. Never paid much attention to Smashing Pumpkins though. I tried out Siamese Dream and I wasn't really feeling it.
>>64128602
The first track (Cherub Rock) is absolutely massive. Check this song again.
Their song with Tricky is the only thing I like of theirs
