Ever since Boris started making these rock smorgasbord albums that feature a little bit of post rock, a little bit of drone, a little bit of noise, a little bit of doom and stoner, etc- they've been putting out less impressive material. For each style they touched on in Noise, they've put out a better full album of that given style. Hell, they've even done these genre magnet albums better, like on Pink, a legitimately good record that also happens to be a hot mess of rock and metal subgenres.
